Kulen Mountain

Kulen Mountain is approximately 50 kilometers from Siem Reap. It was one of the most important sites during the Angkor period. This is the place i went this morning, set off from guest house at 8am this morning on a mini bus with a few others. Took about an hour and a half to get to this place and a good 40mins of it was bumpy, steep hills haha. Arrived and was greeted by more kids begging for money etc...immediately realised it was a lovely sight seeing experience at this place. went up lots and lots of steps...and saw a buddha. we then moved on to see the waterfalls, had to walk across a wobbly bridge....most folk were scared, i thought it was great haha, u would just never get anything like this back home and this was just the start of it. we walked through lots of huts and then down loads more steps and had to climb over loads of rocks to get to the waterfalls, if you dont like heights i think you would struggle!! lovely place though and lots of people in the water. can swim in it, unfortunately i didnt take my swim stuff because i got burnt enough yesterday and didnt want to chance getting burnt any more. however, probably would have been fine because it was pretty sheltered. lots of photos taken though. came back to siem reap and went into town for a drink and wander.....went to get cream for mossie bites but pharmacy ran out so will try again later. x
