Early start for sunrise at angkor wat

Ok so was up before 5am this morning haha, and off we set in our tuk tuk to see sunrise at angkor wat, we had to persuade security to let us past without paying. gave them the whole "we are out here volunteering and teaching the kids english"and it worked they let us past no bother. got out ther and waited a while and saw sunrise, apparently some people thought it was quite disapointing. i thought it was really nice to see. so headed back to guesthouse, quick shower and then out to new hope, was helping in the medical centre this morning. good experience and have to make do with very limited resources as dressings etc. a family came in desperate for formula milk, lady was only 23 and had 15month old kid and twins that apparently 3months old. felt realy sorry for them but as newhope do not have an endless supply of money they were unable to help them out this time as they had supposedly already had 3tubs of milk this month.....felt like buying them milk myself but not sure that would help as theyd then expect it every month. came back to guest house and had some lunch and a snooze haha....was shattered and the heat makes it ten times worse. afternoon, i went back out to new hope for teaching my kids english...loving it and they are also making me learn things....one girl i had to teach one to one today was also teaching me khmer, very hard language to learn! will definately attempt it though. met family again today, wife and two kids, their dad was shot on cambodia-thailand border and they were also wanting money, the wee boy is adorable could easy take him home....been a very long day but enjoyable. oh and my mossie bites are slowly improving.....as for sun burn it is quite itchy. :):)
