Oh well electricity kept switching off this morning so was up quite early as could not sleep with the heat. im getting used to these early starts now :-) had breakfast at guesthouse, good old beans on toast (heinz beans may i add)! Went out to new hope as was supposed to have a medical meeting but person didnt turn up so bit of a wasted journey. Saw a little girl in the medical clinic who had horrendous looking burn to her ankle and it looked black, turns out this is "local medicine"that the parents put on. tracey, another girl who is a nurse from oz and working out here put a nice dressing on. whether it stays on is another question!! It was fun on the way back from project though- caught a lift on the back of a motobike, was 3 of us on it although it has to be said it was a much smoother journey than in the back of a tuk tuk! Went for lunch with donna and the motorbike guy who is a young khmer lad who works at new hope and also attends english lesson there in the afternoon. Very interesting lad - oh and he remembers you sylvia! He remembered you were a nurse and from scotland and wants your email add. haha. Just back from having lunch and out for coffee - wel milkshake in my case. Heading back out to new hope this afternoon. Hopefully get something sorted out and get into a classroom as seems to be little confusion as to what i am there for. Guess could gain great experience from both but i fancy a wee change from nursing stuff.
